We are currently looking for a Grants Specialist to join our team. The position would be responsible for supporting the Grants Manager in all aspects of grant activity.
1. Supports organization's mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
2. Prepares, updates and/or writes narratives for grant and bid submissions
3. Interacts with staff and coordinates grant related information from internal and external sources
4. Researches statistical and grant-specific information and identifies funding opportunities
5. Adheres to the organization's policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
6. Assists with Foundation Department activities and other duties as assigned
1. Bachelors Degree in Communications, English or related field
2. 2
years of grant writing, research and/or health-related experience
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite
5. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demand : Business Office Environment computer, phone and copier use

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
