The systems analyst role is an advanced level position working to support key tasks. The analyst actively supports activities thatserve to optimize the performance of applications and technology in a way that best serves the needs of Hackensack Meridian Health. The analystworks closely with other technology professionals and end-users to clearly meet project expectations.
ResponsibilitiesProvides hands-on support to system end users with learned application knowledge; documents issues; Acts as upper level support for business unit applicationsDevelops test plans for all testing necessary for new systems or modifications to existing systems with direction from leadership. Conducts test activities and assists users in the testing of all new systems and modifications completely before implementation into the production environment. Documents all testing effortsCreates queries/reports in Crystal Reports/MS Access/Interactive SQL to meet internal customer/leadership requestsPerforms in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issuesAssists in the coordination/execution of software updates and changesCommunicates effectively with leadership, team mates, and customersServes as a liaison between end users, vendors, and third partiesQualifications
Interested individuals must have strong intellectual capability, maturity and judgment, as demonstrated by their academic performance, professional experience, and other demonstrated achievements. Successful candidates will meet the following
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, from an accredited institution with strong record of academic achievement
0-2 years' experience desired within healthcare IT, consulting or related operations. This includes experience working with clinical or financial IT and operational systems and/or knowledge of health care operations and workflow
Self-motivated with the ability to learn new concepts and job requirements quickly
Maintains customer service orientation and is responsive
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Excellent quantitative and analytic skills
Willingness to travel locally and to work non-standard and/or extended hours as necessary
Participates in on call rotation

Crystal Reports
Interactive SQL
MS Access
Experience with Cerner Extended Care (Homeworks/RoadNotes)
Experience with Cerner CustomDesign Studio for Cerner Extended Care
Experience with Fastrack or another DME/Infusion application
Experience supporting Home Care/Hospice/DME/IV business lines

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
