Senior Environmental Engineer (Professional Engineer)

Job Description

This job is for an Experienced Environmental Engineer with a valid Professional Engineering License in Belmar, NJ


  • Design, install, and operate remedial systems that effectively treat hazardous waste and hydrocarbon impacted soil and groundwater

  • Develop client-specific Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC) and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)

  • Hazard and risk management, environmental management, and emergency response planning

  • Supervise and participate in contamination assessment activities including the installation of soil borings and monitoring wells and collection of soil and groundwater samples

  • Preparing Assessment and Remediation Reports

  • Transitioning hazardous waste sites from remedial design through regulatory closure

  • Client Relations

  • Position requires office and field work.

  • Design, evaluate, or manage control systems for erosion and water as well as waste processing facilities.

We're looking for somebody with experience and familiarity with NJ and the outlying areas. This position may require travel throughout NJ and the Tri-State Area. This position requires not only technical knowledge but client development as well.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (You will not be considered unless you have met these requirements):

  • You will need a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject such as Environmental Science, Engineering, or Geology

  • Professional Engineering license

  • We are looking for someone that has a minimum of 4-8 years of demonstrated experience with the above-mentioned tasks

  • Has an understanding and has some experience with Air Permitting and Air Compliance, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and Miscellaneous Regulatory Permitting

  • An individual with strong written and oral communication skills, strong desire to provide excellent, innovative, practical customer services and a commitment to technical excellence

  • Knowledge of NJDEP technical regulations and guidance documents

  • Strong commitment to company's Safety Program; follow company safety standards, site safety standards and maintain safe workplace practices

  • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving policy

  • Prior experience supporting the E&P industry is preferred

Salary is based on experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
